Word Scene

Word Scene is a word puzzle game I designed and built for IMDb Labs. Swipe or type letters from the wheel to spell the answers hidden on the board, while a scene from the movie or show sits behind it as your clue.

How it plays

Every answer comes from real IMDb data: the characters, titles and people from popular movies and shows. Puzzles come in categories like Movies, TV, Comedy, Romance, Sci-Fi and Horror, and every 5 puzzles you clear unlocks a new category. Any real word you spell banks bonus stars, longer words pay more, and hints and info cards with character images keep you moving. A short tutorial gets new players going in seconds.

Every milestone gets a celebration

Instead of static badges, Word Scene marks each milestone with its own full-screen moment: the reward word flips up in gold letter tiles with a stars pop, confetti and fireworks. Here’s every celebration in the game, from your first clear to conquering a whole category.

Your profile

Your profile tracks the puzzles you’ve solved, your categories, bonus words and day streak, and shows which categories you can unlock next.
